Only 2 hours outside this morning. Poor air quality and 80 degrees by 10 am. ...

yes very humid this morning. we went out with the new 'lectric toy to see how it worked as we needed some edges trimmed. i was hoping the blade attachment we got would work and it does but it also will damage things too much and Mom is not steady enough to use it reliably. so that experiment ended and tomorrow i'll try out the string trimmer attachment and perhaps Mom will be ok with that. i'll need to get some biodegradeable trimmer string though in the right size before i'll want to use a lot of it - i'm still picking bits of string from the previous trimmers out of the gardens/etc...

Riding the energy wave, not sure where it came from. The upper hallway walls I patched are now sanded down, wiped down, dust cleaned up, and ready to paint. Doing it between the downtime with the canning process. Go figure

Mom finally got a bunch of stuff out of the garage that had been stacking up for the past few years.

it has been a challenge to get the recycling pickup to take a plastic bin because i think they think it was a recycle bin and that we wanted it back. no. i put it in another bin. they didn't take the hint several times...

i've also tried to put it out with the trash bags on top of it hoping it would just be gone. still no. several different attempts. this week i put the bag of trash on top of it and put a tag on the bin that said TRASH. they still didn't take it.

so yesterday after the failed pickup i called our trash hauler coordinating office (it coordinates a lot of the trash hauling for the townships in our county plus it does the electronic, toxics, used paints, etc. drop offs) and in the process of doing that i found out that we don't exist. somehow (still trying to figure out how) our address was changed and we've never been notified that it happened.

county GIS now has the new address but it used to have the old one (which is what is printed on the metal tag we have on a post near the end of the driveway and that's been there nearly 30yrs since this place was built).

yes, i really need this kind of BS coming up, changing all the addresses on various accounts, legal documents, voting registration, etc.

i renewed my driver's license not too long ago. no problem with street address there. etc. just out of the blue BS. grr!
