I told you you would have better luck with food than a plain old boring house plant. With veggies and herbs there is a pay off. House plants just sit there and gather dust.

Very true-lots of motivation in getting to eat what you grow!
I've been eating my lettuce for a week or more. 100 times more satisfying than anything I could buy!!

well... i have chain and dowel for the supplemental lighting...

now i just need to get more taller enough to reach ROFL. the table isn't sturdy enough to bounce on... or it doesn't feel like it...

i guess i should just do it and see if it collapses...

more news soon on abi's amazing garden tricks!

cacti are tricky. that's why!

i had one kill another in a pot and then i drowned the living one.

take that cosmic justice!

Congratulations!

That's the first step... in no time you'll be harvesting your bounty :)

I had a cactus that I kept for 12 years... it was more than 5 feet tall and gorgeous... I gave it to my mother while I was away working at a camp for a summer and she killed it...

Abi - you sound just like my daughter. But, once she started she had a rosemary plant that lived for years. You go girl!

See! little sprouts and the tomato is getting huge. It even has a blossom!

It's cuz I told them to not die. I know it.

Nothing else is sprouting yet. Know what's hard? Not peeking. You know... move the dirt and peek? LOL.

edit: I was told to match the soil and water PH? What's that all about???
