I pulled weeds out of some raised beds and fed 'em to the pigs. They love them some chickweed! I know it's edible and I might save some for myself too.
Bring em over, we have plenty of chickweed for everyone.

My garden is solid mud. Mud in raised beds. We have a massive atmospheric river happening on top of us.

oh wow, those poor folks in the Rockies could sure use a massive atmospheric river right now to get those reservoirs refilled again both Lake Powell and Lake Mead are very low (and the snowpack this year is so far not very good either).

I did real gardening today! I cleaned out two raised beds. Then I brought up two big ol' garden carts full of barn gold. The first cart load is spread in the first bed. The second cart load is out there waiting for me to spread it. I will, but first I'm gonna gulp down something cold and wet. Temp is pushing 80. Geeze, I can't wait until it's so much hotter, lol! NOT!

😊 This whole post sounds so nice to me. There’s something deeply satisfying about getting your hands dirty and seeing tangible progress - even the sweat feels rewarding when you’re building something real. That initial spark? Totally worth it once things start producing… but honestly, the best part? When it overproduces and you’ve got enough to share. Giving away is the true joy of gardening - hands down.

Have some potatoes in pantry & a few are starting to sprout. Not "sure" the actual type but they've been tasty & hold well for potato salads, etc. Not a russet. Also a couple yucon gold that are considering sprouts. I'll pull those out of the boxes in a few days, cut & let harden off. I'm planning to use grow bags for them this year. 😊 Not buying more when these are already wanting to grow. It'll save $$ for buy & shipping. They'll grow fine.

And seeds 😵‍💫 can't deny it. IMA seed bank. Ya know what? Couldn't be a better year for that. Prepared.
