any plans for building a smoker?

I read somewhere long ago that if you have a fireplace you can simply hang your meat in the chimney and smoke it...NOT a woodstv, but an open fireplace. That's what ppl used to do in the old days...I'll see if i can look up that info again

Without having to spend a whole lot of money...check this guys smoker out. I think it would work really good, you could make it fairly cheap and with stuff you might be able to get free or already have on hand. I have a monster smoker, but it's all steel and took a long time to weld together. When I saw this guys site (also good for some processing tips) I thought he had a pretty good design. There's a YouTube video link on it too.

My sister made a temporary one like this once to smoke some homemade sausage. It was way easy

If you decide to make a smoker like that, please be sure you don't use ANY pressure treated lumber in it anywhere. Also, do NOT use ANYTHING galvanized in it either, like stove pipe, shelves or any fasteners.
