Anyone doing anything FUN this Labor Day Weekend?

I could easily spend the whole weekend puttering around the homestead, but I think the family would revolt if I went with that plan.

So, any ideas for something fun to do to close out the unofficial end of summer?

Saturday I am going out for dinner with friends; Sunday going to a farmer's market and then exploring some caverns, followed by a picnic lunch in a grove near the caverns. Monday, I hope to take a long bike ride if the weather cooperates.

My hope is to be finishing the root cellar and filling it up

Meanwhile, we are just hurrying along and getting ready for winter.

BBQ with hubby and recover from all the duck processing Sunday

House chores, yard, garden. Sat mornings the kids clean their rooms. With lots of guidance.

Mon???? Maybe a bbq.

Next weekend is my dd 6th b day so I will be having family over. That means lots of house cleaning, decluttering and dusting.

The air show is this weekend. Up at Burke Lake Airport. There is probably a county fair somewhere too. Maybe an Akron Aeros or Lake County Captains or Lake Erie Crushers game.

4 wonderful days at the beach!

pick up Nicole at 11 from school and off we go!

I took her off on Tues. when we drive home.
