the little wild kingdom

the other day i took some time to recalibrate my monitor to make sure the colors were as good as i could get them. that was step 1.

step 2 was today where i could take some time to play around with a few programs and see how they worked.

i like these results a lot better than what i had before as the first example is what i had before and the newer version is below (both pictures were generated from the same base raw file from the camera from back when i was fiddling around with this last time):

what do you think?

:) yes, such pretty colors and patterns. you can see so much more when you can hold them in your hand and look at them in the sun. some of them have layers of patterns and some transparency so there is depth to the colors - i didn't ever expect that when i first started out growing beans.

Went to garden site last night, looking at posts...seed saver gal with a tomato fetish 🤣 and a few pages back there was a reference to a site about vaccines being given animals ( our meat sources) with RNA(?) factors. It occurred as part of comments about chemistry used on crops and effects on ground, crop nutrition & humans, etc.

It's really sad but true...I'm a firm believer these are reasons we see so many health issues today. The food chems, deterioration of soil, crop processing and ultra processed/chem added foods presented for buyers. There were never this many issues years back -- even when I was just a kid. That's been a while (I'm 80) but, not terribly so. Just wasn't the terrible rates of things we see daily now. I'm probably going to fine tune meats. I see more pigs as a farm raise again. I've got beef covered buying from one I know...chickens are here, just the dreaded butcher day, meat & dairy goats here. I haven't used chems on this farm in 25 yrs.

It's been my lifestyle, I raise, home cook & can. Just a tiny tweak needed. I'm really a healthy person

i know the persons/website and avoid commenting as they get into things that sound like BS to me.

i do agree with you that the processed foods aren't likely to be very good things as a major part of a diet - i try to avoid them where i can.

the past 50yrs of food nutrition research has really been horribly done from an actual science perspective so until we get back to doing better actual science i don't think there will be a lot of headway.
