I just spent weeks looking for a pair of pants for my BIL for Christmas. He's got some medical issues so his legs are easily 2-3 times as wide as normal.

You could expand into that area as well.

I did find a pair that I can alter to fit.

Sick again with a cold virus in spite of all the precautions I took to make sure the baby didn’t catch anything during Mardi Gras. The problem is it looks like I just stay sick. I had not been taking any pain medication but I know it will suppress my cough so I indulged a bit and popped a Phenergan as well. I have been sleeping better in the recliner than in bed lately so yeah… here I am.
Well a few days ago I started moving stuff around and found an area I could claim to lay down that black, landscape fabric so it’s stapled to the ground and I have potted plants on the edges. DH wanted the side of the house done but yesterday we put more fabric down on the north side of the house where we usually grow pumpkins. I think we should put another row so less grass on the incline (I am waiting for someone to roll down sideways from a riding lawnmower one day). So I guess I’ll admit I am after easy gardening here. I think I will order another roll of the fabric before I run out. In the meantime DH is trying to capture all the loose chickens before we plant. I think I heard him say something about planting 4 merlitons in some masonry blocks… probably for protection from scratching chickens.
I feel bad getting DH’s godchild’s car so soon. She went a little crazy… well maybe a lot crazy. She drove her car into one vape shop on one day. The next day she drove her dad’s truck into the front of another vape shop… intentionally!! Then BIL asked DH if we took his rooster (weird question I thought. I still don’t understand why he asked that. Come to find out, GC was around his coop and took some kind of offense at the rooster so she killed him but then she put him in her car and drove around with him for 3 days before she determined she had to throw him out. She remembered so she told SIL and BIL told me . It’s gotta be bad having mental issues. But apparently BIL and SIL feel GC’s son isn’t responsible enough to be in charge of the car so I got it back. I need to determine how serious the oil leak is before I start driving it again. I understand the 10 days GC was out of jail that the car never got a break. SIL was wondering why she found feathers in the car when she emptied it out. It would be nice to have wheels again.
I have a bit of potting soil and cow manure to fill up my empty planters to cover some black fabric and spur of the moment I noticed some mushroom mix to plant mushroom spawn in. I never did that except with a shiitake mushroom log but I am like a giant hobbit so I ordered some spawn. I had thought I would use a plastic drawer but I have been told it’s disassembled and broken so I’m planning on using some of our ridiculous collection of ice chests to grow the mushrooms in the wash shed. I figured I would just not totally close them off. I hope I can create a warm, wet, dark environment cuz mushrooms are really expensive these days and I don’t have what it takes to walk my property after a fog anymore.
We had a loose hen hatch out 17 little surprise chicks out of 18 eggs. DH kidnapped them and they are in the house while she is hanging out in a cage with a rooster to get rid of her broodiness.
We have a few small litters of rabbits and hopefully more to come.

Sounds like freezer fill -- chicken & rabbit. Around here, it's sometimes better $ to sell them -- & that's generally for meat use. Unless a young hen, then egg layers. I've broken up 2 broodies already as I felt it was too early/cold for chicks. Next ones will get penned and a nest of eggs!

Ahhh, your further south & gardening starting. I'm close to it, another 30 days. I wait a little longer as I don't want to deal will cold nights. Ready to start plants tho

Ugh!! Bronchitis!!! I visited my PCP yesterday. I thought my cold virus was just a sinus infection but he said I have crackles in my lungs. Today it’s wet outside. It was raining when I woke up.
DS is already asking if I can show up tomorrow to watch his kids a few hours. I told him I would let him know how I am feeling tonight.
I guess I should be happy with whatever we accomplished in the last few days.
I have wild duck to debone and pick up and I see a tuna salad in my future.
I got the mushroom spawn in yesterday so I might play a little if I am worth anything. First thing is to read all the information available to me to set it up. I would feel foolish to set up something that won’t work that could be avoided by obtaining a little knowledge.

Good morning!!
I am up alone first… just the way I like it. Coffee is finally brewing. Ordinarily I start brewing and I wash dishes as it brews. I broke my normal protocol and began picking up clean stuff and I decided to give myself several gifts today. Being quietly selfish. I have been under the weather and it shows… big time!! I already know the wash room is dangerous but I cleaned the sink and started on the countertop a bit. You know how after a while you don’t even notice how gross it is. Well I can almost take a picture now. Some of what I started could piss me off but I’m not gonna waste energy on negativity because I don’t have enough energy for that nonsense. But I’m gonna have extra space anyway because the 40 year old microwave has finally died. I suppose I’ll eventually get a new one but smaller. I need to go to the dump anyway to dispose of a recliner so I’ll bring old faithful with me. Just need some dumb muscle to tag along.
I’m so full of Gatorade!! There is just one store, locally that carries the big canister of Gatorade powder so every time I go I load up so I can refill my empty bottles. So I already managed to get my back tired this morning and haven’t even started the dishes. That coffee better be delicious!!
I went on Facebook last night just because I thought of my graduation class having our 60 year old birthday party so I just wished everyone a happy 60 years around the sun because I didn’t go for health reasons. I got 5 likes and one get better soon. I guess I’m not that popular . But I am getting used to avoiding Facebook. The less I mess with the phone in my hands the more gifts I can give myself. In fact I need to study my French. Today’s lesson was brutal. They didn’t even teach me the stuff I was expected to just know. The only reason I got by was because I am Cajun. But I wrote several sentences that I need to write like spelling words.
Need to catch up on laundry, dishes, letters etc. Life doesn’t stop just because I have bronchitis.

Oh, yeah!! BTDT....I need to clean counters off again. Things just get set there and not move! And it's always MY fault. I'm the only one here not enough counters, so table is also used.

I used to fantasize about a house wih no flat surfaces. I walked around balanced in the corners.

Right now every flat surface is filled with seeds or plants or gardening stuff.
