I may have fed all my milk kefir grains to my chickens once
Grabbed the wrong jar.
Good thing I had given extended family and friends grains, so I could get more easily.

I am the only person I know who can't grow any kind of peppermint or catnip- it gets mowed down no matter where I try to put it! Every year my friends at work dig up and give me peppermint. I have put it on our rocky scrubby hillside- mowed. I have put it beside the barn- mowed. I don't dare put it anywhere near "lawn". I am on the verge of giving it up.

I also hide my cultures of anything really really well. My current kombucha is percolating away in a basket under a table with a box covering it in our entryway next to the laundry. It is as out of the way as I can make it! I once hid my apple cider vinegar trial bottle up in the 3rd floor library which we almost never go up to. Yep- SO found it. It was in a storage cabinet up there.
