I make pesto and freeze it -ALOT of it for use all winter... But I also make "dipping" oil and freeze that too in plastic containers . And you dont need nuts for dipping oil (one less trip to walmart is a good thing ;) )! For dipping oil just cut fresh basil, oregano, rosemary and lemon thyme with kitchen scissors into a big fluffy pile of herbs. Then in a shallow bowl add some chopped or smashed garlic, pour balsamic vinegar and olive olive oil over it and smash everything with a fork to release oils for herbs. spinkle some shredded parmesian cheese around the edges of the bowl and dip torn bread chunks. My friends LOVE this....
