So I've been off for a few days because life is so busy!

We've had a few showings on our house that is for sale.
The farm house we bought is moving at break neck speed! We have a friend tearing off the rotten deck and he'll start the building on Monday. The DH finished tearing out the rotted sub floor in the den and rebuilding it. He picked up flooring and he and DS will put that in this weekend. Son lives in a town about 40 mins from us and we're always so excited when he can get home for the weekend.

I've been canning everything I can make with tomatoes, tons of okra, making beet jelly and carrot cake jam. (sooooooo amazing!) I painted the office and the dining room over at Crazy Acres. Tomorrow I start the caramel apple butter. That takes hours and hours.

I packed all my yarn and crochet goodies and moved them to the farm, with a tear in my eye. No crochet until we move in. :( I may need an intervention:barnie )

We've been working on the farm house for 7 months now. Every evening when DH comes home from his job and every weekend we work over there. Most of the time I have to mud walls or paint during the day. I'm getting pretty burnt out.

Speaking of which....the hubs is waiting on me...better trot!

We're living in a construction zone and I'm pretty sick of mudding, too. :sick I almost forgot that I used to quilt, paint, write...it's like another/different life I used to have! But life's good in the toolies, and I'm sure you'll love it, too!

Okay, when you have time to breathe, take a few minutes and post that carrot cake jam recipe over at the recipe section! Sounds wonderful!

Thought I would share a few pics. These are before and afters of the kitchen. The floor was decking boards and falling apart.

Love the open beams and stained glass window! Beautiful room, I am envious :)

I saw you posted the carrot cake jam that Britesea asked for and I was wondering if you'd post the caramel apple butter recipe too? Both sound so good!
