Morel, that is one of Satan's many tools...to make you feel that you are guilty or unforgiven when the Lord says there is no sin that He cannot cover.
I used to feel that way and for pretty much the same reason you do...my earthly father could never really be pleased.
I sort of viewed my Heavenly Father in the same light for a long time and it only made me sin more...after all, if one cannot ever really do right, why try?
But a closer walk, more understanding, a greater peace was given unto me when I finally submitted my will and my own understanding to God. It was like someone took blinders off my eyes and I could see for the very first time! I had been a Christian for so long but I had never really let God have any control over me....I fought that for so long. Sort of like how I fought my earthly father's will for so long.
As children of the true living God we don't have to hope for the best....we will inherit it. It has been promised!
1 John 3:5 "And ye know that was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin."
1 John 3: 9 "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
As for the Rapture? There are many verses that state this...we are to be saved from His wrath in the end days. Just as Lot was saved, just as Noah and his family were saved, just as the repentant of Nineveh were spared, so will we be saved.
We've seen many stories in the Bible like these where the righteous were spared God's wrath. Why were they spared? Because they were godly or they repented. If you are a true child of God you have repented
and are godly, you will be spared as they were.
No, one cannot ever be "good enough" to be spared God's wrath in the end of times. But Jesus' sacrifice was good enough for all and all who receive it are washed clean.
I hope and pray that you will find comfort and peace about this subject, Morel.
