sounds like something I would sayBee - I totally agree! I love to just look around at what we have - even with all that needs doin - it gives me a warm fuzzy feelingBeekissed said:I was thinking this evening that this time of year is when your property looks its finest...the grass is so new and green, the flowers start blooming, the birds are active and nesting, the chickens are pretty and fully feathered(no moult), trees green and lush, sheep clean and slick.
This is the time of year when I can't stop looking at everything and feeling my heart fill up with contentment and warmth. Even though there is tons to do, you know that the spring finery overshadows the scruffy edges of chores undone.
I LOVE spring!![]()
silly I guess, but oh well. I love to look at everyones yard, gardens, pastures, critters as I drive to and from work this time of year. It is truly amazing.
I can't waite to get them processed. I love the meat we get from them....one bird easily makes 3 meals for just the hubby and I...but WOW the stink, even "free ranging" ( they have a big fenced in yard, plenty grass) They hover around the feeder when I fill it...( once a day with a 5 gallong bucket for 23 birds) and the POO, O M Goodness, the poo!!!!!!

Sorry about your goat baby.Blackbird said:Hi Lori!
I'm hanging in there.. Still alive, so that's something.
I've had to up my feeding from what I usually feed my layers but not anything like that amount. As it is, mine are about dragging the ground with their breasts....I can't imagine how big yours are if they eat that much.
