Happy Easter Bee! Glad he's home and safe. You are a very wise woman. Learning from the past is hard to do (for some of us not repeating cycles), but it sure makes us better parents, and people in general.

I hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday!
We went to church, ate out for lunch and the boys went to a friend's house to catch HUGE rainbow trout out of his pond and generally have a boy's day out. I love it when they have fun and get along....they all went to bed, tired as dogs!
I stayed home and relaxed in the sunny day, reading The Purpose Driven Life~great, great book, BTW!!! If you haven't treated yourself to reading this book, please do so...it's a must if you want to understand or know your purpose in life.
Sat outside in my dreaming chair and planned the garden...again! Watched the Bettys run, kick and play....love watching them, never get tired of their sheer joy for life!
When the boys came home we listened to Joel Olstein preach a sermon on how to be happy. Great message!

Bee, glad to hear you had a good Easter! Ours went off without a hitch too. We just ate waaaayyyyy too much!
My dad and brother went to an old abandoned church today to look at a wild hive of bees. Or should I say to see if they were still there,...and they were! They are going back in a few weeks to capture them. My brother will be taking them home with him if they can succesfully retrieve them out of the church wall. He is very excited about getting them,..this will make him four or five hives,..he says he is going into the honeybee business,..

Yea,.. free honey either from my dad or my brother . Dad has three hives,.I thought he only had two 
. My brother actually closed his carpet business so he could work with his bees full time. He plans on acquiring at least 16 hives,..having 8 for honey and renting out the other 8 hives,..then rotate them back and forth. He has a mentor that is helping him out with all of this. He seems real excited about it.
They are having a bee expo thing here in Lewisburg on the 16th of this month at the college (New River Tech). It is supposed to be a class on learning the basics for beginners and for others whom may have more experience. My dad has done rsvp'd to it. He wants me to go,..but they are having a big horse expo at the fairgrounds that week too. I would love to take my little girl to it,...she LOVES horses as I did as a child. Plus they are having a cowboy cook off,...I wonder what cowboy tastes like ?????

My neighbors would flip out if we installed beehives
We have the cutest pair of mallards that nests here every year - the kids call them Romeo and Juliet. Every morning they go for a walk around the the 3 neighborhood properties here and it's so cute! Up the driveway, through the flowerbed, around the back to where there is flood water still in the yard so they can swim for a bit. My chickens gather at the fence to gawk at them and it's pretty funny.
I have lots of seeds coming up thanks to the warm weather we had last week - lettuce, spinach, broccoli, peas, etc. Can't wait to feast! I am having to fence everything from the wild rabbits though. They already ate my blueberry starts
OH! My asparagus didn't drown! YAY! I thought it was a gonner, but it's fine.
Now if the rabbits will leave it alone, I'll have some to eat soon.
I feel so inadequate compared to most people here. I don't know how people get so much done! I have a high demand 3 year old and if DH or someone is not here to help with her, I get nothing done outside. She hates to get dirty, so if I take her outside with me I spend most of my time washing her hands. How can this be my child?
I wish me and DH had more energy. The kids wipe us out daily.
