Maybe next year, if anybody in a cold climate is interested, you could send them cuttings to make their own clones. Then if yours fail for some reason, you could have a back up.

I just looked it up, amazon has it, but HOLY COW I can believe the price!
I like to do things not depending on electricity, so oven and is summer sun drying are options. There is quite a bit of info on the web if you look it up.

I am trying to become less dependent on the freezer, we all talked about last spring on building a meat smoker.
Drying meat is one option, salting meat another.

I'm using electricity while it's available, but I have some ideas about how to convert my Excalibur to non-electric if/when the time comes. Something like this, connected to the dryer itself, might work

If I could get anything to dry naturally Id be happy. Our humidity is always too high for that. I need to look up plans for a solar dehydrator. The added heat should make it work.
