Well, I took a letter in today. They called back (they were on lunch break). A lot happened. They said that it was all stuff that I would have seen during the last evals anyways. I said I wanted this specific paper and any other bad documentation they had on me (one for having dirty pants bottoms because I didn't roll them up when walking in on a rainy day, my bad) and I said that under FERPA I have the right to copies of any of my papers that I wish. I was put on hold again for ten minutes. The secretary comes back and says "we're searching the code book, hold on one more minute" I told her to hold on one minute and I'd tell them the page number, I did and they forgot to put me back on official hold, so I could hear everything... The coordinator says "yeah, it's there. Give her the papers, we've got late portfolio work from her so she can't do anything about it anyways". I pretended that I didn't hear any of this, went and collected my paperwork. There is no documentation of this incident. Basically, this incident never happened. BASICALLY, they dismissed me without the grounds to dismiss me. And if she wants to play the game of late portfolio work, she sure can try, because it will only make them look even more like they're just digging to find ANYTHING to get rid of me, because another girl was FIVE WEEKS late with nothing more than "keep on top of it". Not to mention that if they wanted to kick me out for portfolio work being late, they should have done it before 2/8, when they checked my portfolio off and wrote in my eval that portfolio work was much improved this level (last level I had some issues with getting it "completed" on time, because she asked stupid things of me that she didn't require of other students). So... anything they do is only going to shoot themselves in the foot at this point. Their best bet would have been to simply say, I'm sorry, we made a mistake, we'll see you on Monday, in class.
ETA: Our due dates are different for portfolio work. The class was split up into two different groups. Mine was completely checked off "to their satisfaction" on 2/8. The other girl's stuff was due at an earlier date. Her observation papers that were due 1/30 were completed on 3/5. Her other portfolio work (unsure of due dates, because of the way they work, they don't have specific due dates) was not finished until the very end of 3/9, because the rest of the class, myself included, had to wait until she was finished with it so she could have her eval, until we could leave.
