I am roughly 2 1/2 hours from Cincinnati.
We are only 1 1/2 hrs from Cincy and are due for a Jungle Jim's fix. :D
Is that close to you, or are you north?

Sorry - That was for Quail_Antwerp. I thought I could help her by meeting her at Cincy if she was close.
I am still researching ducks.

I purchased some of these duck eggs from her...
The babies are sooooo darn cute!! And friendly too! :)
I say go for it... the babies are great.

Redhen, thanks. I love these ducklings. I sold some of them, but still have over 10 for sale.

I just loooove anything blue!!!!!!!!
me too. i'm a total sucker. i want Blue Cayugas SOOO bad. too bad i'm in TN.

but i did get some blue Wyandotte pullets today, so i've got my blue fix for the moment. (they are my first blues and i'm totally in love already.)

I ship eggs.:D Out of all the ducklings we hatched only one was not a blue. It was a Silver.

We currently have a family of wooducks using the pond I was hoping to house them near. Would that present a problem? Also, you said you just have a pallet house. I am thinking of housing them in a older barn, just installing a smaller, warmer 'house' inside. Do you have any predators where you live? I am concerned about coyote or something digging in. I could put fencing or something around their sleeping quarters, but they would have to free range during the day as I don't currently have the funds to put up new fencing for them. Can they fly quickly enough to evade predators during the day? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I can give them a safe place to live.

how much for eggs???????

i'm a good 4 hour drive to Cincy - i'm 4 hours west. Not sure I could convince DH to make that drive, but I think i could convince my friend incubate for me!

:D
