Bra patterns?!?

There is a very good book on the subject, full of detailed diagrams & pictures.
I know it can be bought from Amazon here in the UK but I don't know about in the US.
Unfortunately it is pretty expensive because it's a specialist book. Maybe you could borrow it from a library.
It is called Patternmaking for Underwear Design [Paperback]

Happy New Year to you all......:frow

*****P.S. I am editing to say that I have just checked on the US Amazon site & it is not listed BUT on the English site I see that at least two US companies are offering it for sale.....so you could get in touch with them......info on this link.....>>

Working with a stretch fabric always requires some practice - for me anyway. I wish I could give you an easy explanation of "how to", but that kind of escapes me.

I just usually jump in the deep end and try something, usually on the big side at first, and then twiddle and tweak until I get it right.

Personally I prefer a sports type of bra, but then again I haven't the "luggage" to contain that some of you gals do. ;) I do know that under wires are sold both at our local Hancock fabrics and Jo Anne's. Another even more SS idea is to use the BIG zip ties as boning for your corsets or perhaps even a bra (depending on the style). That is a trick I learned from our local Ren Fest folks. In the past I have made several swim suits, but that is as close as I have come personally to making a bra.

Or, you could just be free!
If you're saying that to me, I'm waaaaaaay ahead of you there. But I still wear one with light colored shirts, or more often in the winter, to keep from having twin icicles. Trying to keep the girls warm. ;)

Not to anyone in particular, but it's one way to solve the problem of finding a bra that fits. Then you can do this! :weee
