Nice! Definitely keep us posted on this adventure! DH has supplies for home brewing. He hasn't used it since we met (10 years). I'm tempted to try it.

Nice, my DH has a bunch of brewing stuff but also hasn't used it since we have been together. We don't drink much, but would be fun to try it out.

Wow, score! My ex wanted to home-brew and bought a few bits and I remember it being quite pricy once you started adding things up. You got a great deal there! :) What are you going to make?

My ex used to make some pretty tasty beer. I have some stuff out in the garage - I might have to pull it out and see what's still there. (like I need to add anything else to my list...) But, it sounds like something I might enjoy trying. :hu

Dad used to brew for fun.... hmmm I wonder if he's got his brew equipment still, it'd be fun to take a crack at brewing sometime i think

I think that ales tend to have less hops, right @CrealCritter ? I know I don't care for hops much, and found I really liked Rogue Brewery's Hazelnut Ale
