Bubblingbrooks Journey - Salut!

Sounds like you and I had the same idea. A couple of days ago the kids and I dispatched 2 hens, 4 drakes and 1 goose. Then today we dispatched 4 roosters, 1 egg eating hen, and 2 drakes. Everything is in the freezer. I traded hearts, livers, and gizzards with the neighbor for garden produce and 3 of the drakes were given as gifts. Our goose is looking mighty nice---can't wait for Christmas.

I still have to dig up the dahlias and store them for spring as well as plant tulips and daffodils. I need to rake more leaves for the goose and duck pen. They are loving rooting around in the leaves. I fenced in the area under our second floor deck for the geese and Welsh harlequin ducks. I need to put up a tarp under the deck to deflect any snow melt away from their bedding. I also have to get the coops cleaned out, and help my son change to winter tires on both vehicles. Thinking about it all just makes me tired. ;)

The kids can't wait for the snow to fly but I sure can. I can think of a ton of other things I would like to get done, but lots of them will have to wait.

What a day! :ep And to have to smell like buck- :sick

Processing 11 beef- surely not all in one day?
In two days actually.
The farmer, DH, another super fast butcher and two learners.
They are getting through one side per hour, so pretty good pace, I would say!

Aww she'll look so cute with a lil tooth hangin down! :D

Lotsa beef! I want some too :drool

Question: You have any idea on any herbs or anything that will curb nicotine cravings?
