I saw something yesterday that reminded me of one of my few childhood dreams that I haven't been fortunate enough to make come true yet. I'm sure we all have, or should have, a bucket list, things we'd like to do still. This has been a dream of mine for years and I was thinking maybe this year, for my birthday, I'll do this:

(I'm not interested in the plane part though... But the helicopter :love)

What's on your bucket list(s)?

A bucket list...…

I'm kinda living my bucket list now.
1. I can look out my back windows and see my horses.
2. I have a barn for my horses, not finished on the inside, but I have a barn.
3. I have sheep.
4. I have 2 Great Pyrenees.
5. I have a big garden.
6. I have a TRACTOR!
7. I have 3 beautiful grand daughters and we are only 7 miles away.
8. I am Blessed with great neighbors and friends.
9. I am happier than I have ever been in my life.

What else I would like to do.

1. Be successful at growing GRASS for PASTURE.
2. Ride a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
3. Go to Ireland, spend the night(s) with Sumi and see the sights. LOL
4. It's hard to come up with anything else, I'm just so darned happy.

I've seen "Ireland" come up here a few times now... Still thinking of that SS get-together here in Ireland one day ;) We could rent a castle for us all to stay in for a week... That'd be a riot!

Only #3 not completed for me. I'm good. I am blessed.

I've traveled a lot -- seen most of the State & National Parks in USA, a lot of Europe, walked up Mt Vesuvius, went to Pompei ruins, Greek islands and all the structures, the Egyptian pyramids & Valley of Kings -- rode horseback through Yellowstone couple times and over Grand Tetons, mules into Grand Canyon. Been To Niagra Falls, thru St Lawrence Freeway and Panama Canal (that may be a great engineering "feat" but, boring!), Hawaii & their sights. Watched the performance of the Budweiser Clydes, lived near Everglades and so on....I'm OK to stay home now. My goats need me. :love My tractor is fun. Only thing LEFT for myself is to retire and stay here. Working on that.

:thumbsup

ETA: Always loved horses and wanted my own herd...mares & stallions. A herd of minis accomplished that for me, without the size/danger issues. :D My bucket has overflowed!

My FIL used to have a helicopter. DH grew up flying around in it , going fishing for a few hours, flying home. Lol so not cool he got rid of it before we got married!

My bucket list is weird. Lots of travel (Ireland, Scotland, Alaska), I have a couple books I want to write. I'd like to get my PhD just for fun. Yeah my idea of fun might be odd...

I still want to travel some more, I'm definitely going to visit Transylvania as soon as I can. GORGEOUS place! I want to see the northern lights, but I can do that here, if I go up to Co Donegal, I'm planning to do that sometime. I always wanted to ride a horse on the beach, I should make a plan and do that sometime as well...

My bucket list includes:

Waitressing at a small diner for a few hours, just to say I've done it.

Horseback riding.

Writing a book.

Going snorkeling in a tropical reef again.

Wouldn't mind doing a Jungle zip line again.

Have eliminated body surfing and rock climbing b/c certain body parts have exceeded the warranty period.

And every year, the summer is not complete unless I get to walk barefoot on the sand, soak up the sun, and play in the surf.

Hmmmm, I must be the most boring person on earth... I really don't have a bucket list. I'm totally ok with where I am in life...I don't really feel like I've missed anything. Dang it - I want a bucket list too! I mean.... I expect we'll take a couple vacay's in retirement...(maybe Ireland!). I guess that counts!
