Sorry, but fresh corn needs to be thoroughly coated in butter - I'm all for saving, but some things need to be savored full flavored!

RIGHT ON!!! That is why I tried it...once! It was still good though.

The book (actually an autobiography) was written about her life as a child growing up on a farm during the depression...fatherless. They had to live off thier land, no choice. It was called Little Heathens it was soo good too, very informative. I think it took place in Iowa? I am not sure now and that book is still packed in boxes in the spare room. A good read.
