Well... stressful bumpy road...

But I sure am glad you finally got true cast iron. AND that it is working as it should.

It sure us working well, I cook something every day in it ok at least twice a day

there are times when it is all a$$holes and elbows as my dad put it. you get in there and get while the gettin' is good or you may not get enough or any at all. it was what he thought of young pigs at the trough. he had nine siblings and other relatives about at family meals so i think he knew what he was speaking of...

they were not sold out when i picked mine out today. there were still four pans there. i went through all four and only one was in decent condition. the others had minor issues with the edges that could have been fixed with a grinder or file and then it would have needed to be reseasoned again, but otherwise any of the four would have done fine but i'm glad i was able to pick out the one i liked.

but i bought it at a grocery chain store for a bit less than their stated price on their website.

not sure yet when i'll use it, but the other nice thing about this pan is that it fits right on top of the pan i already have and the cover fits too so it won't take up any more shelf space than what i already was using. Merry Christmas to me!

when i was checking out the guy in front of me in line made a comment about it being useful for self-defense and then when i got up to the checkout lady she also mentioned it would be useful like that. i guess in the good old days plate armor was really a great idea after all...
