Almost Self-Reliant
As a lot of you know our DD is in the Army and is over in
Afghanistan. She told me yesterday that she is now guarding the Egyptian Hospital for the locals. The children there are in need of hats(beanies), gloves, and blankets. It is cold and they have lots of snow right now.
I am trying to get ahold of yarn so DGD and I can use her knifty knitter looms to make hats, and some fleece and/or batting and material for blankets. Niether or us crchet or do regular knitting so we will havet to go to the thrift shop for gloves.
I know that times are tight and we all try to do what we can to keep our personal expenses down, but if anyone would like to help the children over there you can pm me or email me and I can give you the info on how to send things for the children to our DD.
