Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake - by request

3 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 Tbsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups mayo - (fat free tastes gross, don't bother with it)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups cold water
2 tsp vanilla

And seriously, here's how I have the instructions written out in the back of my cookbook

1. Mix dry
2. Mix sugar/mayo
3. Mix liquid
4. Combine

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes until done (makes 9x13)

It's a VERY moist cake, a toothpick will come out clean.

This is my family's all-time favorite cake. If we're asking for a birthday cake, for my Dad, brothers, and me, it's always this one. The mayo gives it a tangy flavor and makes it not so sweet.

the recipe might sound weird, but ifyou think about it, mayo is basically eggs and oil. Do not use miracle whip--tastes off.

Ahh, we grew up eating mayo cake. It was my Mom's go to cake. We always loved it. I'm definitely going to copy this recipe down.
