Made some good progress last night after work on the backyard "hayfield". Rain arriving today, staying until Saturday.

Fingers crossed, patio installed a week from tomorrow

Really haven't noticed the Canadian smoke.

Coffee is ready. Got 4 1/2” of rain in 3 hours yesterday. Road flooded and is probably washed out in places. Today will be too wet, county crew is off on Fridays, and it starts raining again on Monday. I just hope Central and West Texas is getting rain.

Oh man,, I be tired.

I wish we would get some rain. May was dry and now June. I think Fire season is already started.

This should be last job day for this week. I'm feeling I need a couple days at a slower pace. And it's hatch weekend for incubator. We'll see how that goes I'm not a broody hen....so anxiously I wait. Also, have more milk processing time.

@CrealCritter a dairy animal is a commitment! One that can't be ignored. I love my milkers and the products but, not always the "must do" portion. A neighborhood cow?? Great thought -- sharing is caring. If I was on your street, I'd be there for that. But it's not the soul dedication & appreciation for some people. You got to love it to work it. The animal knows.

I got the garden watered, I SAW where the voles invited themselves to stroll through. I didn’t see any real damage, DH refilled the bait boxes.

Had a clod leftover hamburger for lunch and I am now going to find cardboard,,,,,,

FB has a chicken in the pot for soup. Everyone needs a chicken in the pot, every once in a while I helped, I raised and processed those CCX. Most all ingredients were grown and preserved here on the farm also, even the chicken broth.
