Farmer just left about an hour ago and asked if I would accept two gentle, treated very well Angus / Hereford cross feeder steers to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. They have had all their shots and been given a stamp of approval by a licensed veterinarian. This is really good news, but I'm still not counting them until their hooves are on the pasture.

Honestly... I've only prayed once about these steers and have been waiting patiently. Putting two and two together... It's kind of a no brainier. Why would Almighty see to it that I freely obtained enough hay to feed 2 cows through the winter and not provide cows to feed the hay to? This simply makes no logical sense. And besides it's is not the Almighty I know and Love.

I knew I did the right thing by politely refusing to purchase from the first gentleman. Hard telling what I may have ended up with, like a pair of crazy steers, treated badly, no shots, etc... A guy (me) has to stand for his beliefs and do what he knows is right in his heart. Then have faith, and patiently wait for Almighty to provide. Almighty knows better than I do which cows I should care for.

For (me) when I boil it all down, life just really doesn't get any simpler than. Mark 12:28-34, Mathew 22:34-40, Luke 10:25-28. I mean red letters and upper case even, I need no further hints... I try my imperfect best to follow these wise words and that all I'll say, I need not say anything more.

Jesus is Lord and Christ 🙏❤️🇺🇸

Good morning all. This morning I was reading and found something kind of interesting that I wanted to share. Genesis 2:20 He (Adam) gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.
Notice how it differentiates livestock and wild animals. You’ll find similar in Gen 1:24. God made some animals to specifically be livestock. I think about some of the animals people simply cannot domesticate, apparently it was like that from the beginning.

This is a very cool call out--agree some just can't be tamed. those that think they should have a lion or other animal as a pet might be a tad off their rocker. Genesis is one of my favorite books of the Bible.

Amen! it is the way it was meant to be, and the very first tasks our Lord gave us, trust/obey Him,
the first governing institution The Family, then tend to the garden and livestock care.

On my third and last cup of coffee. Dragging butt this morning, slept until 7:22. Went to a town above Dallas yesterday to buy a registered ewe, it was an all day thing. I have little to no ambition for today. Guess I need to muster up something and get outside. It's windy, overcast, maybe a drizzle of rain.

I have always found it interesting that Adam is supposed to name the animals before he gets Eve. He’s supposed to prepare it for her. And then Eve is formed in the garden, instead of the wilderness like Adam. I love Genesis too!
Restarting my whole read through at the moment.
