I got the kraut done yesterday
I washed the jars and lids



cored and sliced the cabbage, grated the carrots--mixed it us, added 5tsb of redmond sea salt and let it set/rest for an hour



filled the jars and packed it down- added a glass weight and TA-DA

Good Saturday Morning,
I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 3 8cp pot of coffee and built a fire. I am going to get some regular yeast bread baked sourdough starter going later after the morning chores are done.

Snow is showing up today after all.

It is colder this morning and suppose to have some snow on the 11th but a maybe. I really dont want snow.

Seems I get rain tho -- today, Mon, Fri & Sat 😱 mid 50 temps, so nothing white, just WET 🤐 very wet.

Yes VERY wet, last evening we had a wind/HARD rain that blew from the west and it sounded like hail on the living room window. We havent had it come in from that direction, mostly from the south and north

I got it sorted last evening 4 different shaders of purple / pink / gray

Its the Artic storm moving in. Was very windy here too.

Models are all over the place down here in Vancouver. Some say 12 - 20 degrees; other say 30 - 45 degrees. Next week when it hits, it will reveal itself.
