Tank and I (mainly I, tank doesnt have thumbs) finished siding the chicken shack. Just doors, 6 nest boxes a few perches and the chickens will be ready to move in. They can poop all they want in rotational gardens. I was just informed we are getting 50 CCX chickens also

Great visit with my aunt last yesterday.

I did sweep the entire house yesterday, only took about 20 minutes.

Coffee is smooth this morning. What will the day look like today? Don't know yet, I do know I am going to have a second cup

No snow ! But cooler. After enjoying warm, we got into 30s again last night...mid 30s so, no freeze but not desirable. Couple days of mid-upper 50s but, otherwise Spring IS coming. Cooler was a little ok since I've done some canning, kept chill out of house as I did after work, after dinner. Plant starts weren't real happy out there

Grass coming in, need less hay. Woohoo! . 16 goat kids running, playing, piling up for naps! Cuteness everywhere. No broody hens yet, little disappointing but ok. Thought I'd have tractor time this weekend, now rain coming. 8 weekend of 10 . Thinking, stay home during week & work store jobs during weekend wet. Will do this week deadiners today, move others! Farm is important!

Yesterday's snow melted off during the day, got a fresh coating overnight.

yes, we had a bit of snow too, but it's all gone by now. cold returned... yes, yes, more seasonal...

No snow but CHILLY.... 26 this morning... winds have been real cold... severe fire danger with the gusty winds here... several small "ish" fires... 10-20 acres... one 80 acres is now 100% contained 30 miles north. Want to burn my brush pile but NOT HAPPENING until we get some real rain coming.... can't burn before 4 p.m. anyway... our air currents change after 4 and usually winds lay down for the night. But NOT this week...
