@CrealCritter im so glad the tornado didn’t do any damage to your or your son’s house.
Tank is your protection from all bad things. I’m so glad you have him. Labradors are wonderful dogs and their love has no boundaries.

Coffee is ready. I have a head cold. Sore throat, dry hacking cough, stopped up head, I don’t need this crap!
Sorry you're not feeling well, I prayed and asked Mr. Almighty for your healing.

I was getting ready to drive over to where the tornado hit to volunteer to clean up and see what I could do for the families. Then I got an emergency alert from the county.

It basicly said: Stay away from the area. Only homeowners and approved volunteers can enter. Excess traffic is blocking power companies and emergency workers. Thank you for your cooperation.

I'm not at all surprise by this... we live in a awesome community and I'm sure most everyone had the same idea as I did and wants to offer help.

I've been nipping at a new homemade health drink the last couple of weeks. I dont drink a lot of it. A lot isn't needed just a small glass after each meal is plenty enough. It's made a positive difference in my life.

It's ingredients are spring water, organic ginger juice, orgainic turmeric juice, organic lemon juice & local honey.

Feeling sad today... I want to volunteer to help with tornado cleanup. But can't figure out how to become an "approved" volunteer, so I can help. No one is sending txt's to say how to apply to become approved. But Local business have started sending txt's accepting donations.

Here is one example...

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the May 16th tornado. We have seen firsthand some of the indescribable devastation, and we are grateful for everyone’s safety during the horrible event.

For those who were fortunate enough to be unaffected, we are accepting donations to be given to organizations distributing aid to families in need. Clothing, pet supplies, hygiene products—even gift cards—are appreciated.

IDK... it just makes me sad, that I can't help immediately. Perhaps Mr. Almighty will open a door for me, maybe sometime later during the rebuilding? I can read a tape measure, run a saw and swing a hammer.

It's just hard knowing people need help and yet here I am ready and willing to help, but can't. Hope that makes sense???

I volunteered for the Rim Fire and then a couple of years later for the Butte Fire.

The Red Cross was impossible to work with. They wanted a background check done on me first. REALLY?? The fire is ongoing, hundreds by the day are evacuating to the Fair Grounds and you want a background check? I joined another group.

For the Butte Fire, I joined a cooking group, and made huge meals in my kitchen and then delivered them to a huge kitchen which was feeding evacuees.

Sometimes it takes just "walking in" or "showing up" to see if someone will snag you up!
