Looks to be a Boer, meat goat. A little thin but he'll fatten up. Not all goats want to escape 🤣

At auction around here you get $100. A lot more if he was up in weight. Can't tell a lot from that pic but can see backbone, so I know thinner than should be.

He'll sure help clean up small shrubs & undergrowth near the pond 👍

Why you reckon he's so thin, he's standing on green grass. Maybe wormy and needs ivermection? I honestly don't know that why I'm asking.

Yes, probably needs worming. Also-- goats prefer browse instead of just grass & do better with a variety of weeds to munch. Some cattle vit/min would be good -- more copper in it. Grass can be empty of nutrition if a lot of rain and it becomes "water logged", plus poor soil makes poor grass. Your cattle are fat because you supplement.

Just guesses as I don't see entire animal, or living accomodations.

Chores done. Milking done. Put a qt out to clabber from this morning milk. Cheese needs to happen. It's so wet out ... Raging storm unit slid thru about 7PM and dropped about 2.75". 😖 Inside for most of day now, gonna be hot and muggy. Removed filter & front covers on AC unit -- cleaned all & insides that I could reach. Reassembled & back on😁 DIYr.

I've earned a second cuppa.

Another day on the job....then 4 days of processing more figs and canning some tomatoes, make cheese. Need to inventory that big freezer. That's a rearrange, couple hr job 🙄...needs to happen. It's full and a chest type.😐

Next 2 wks are full work weeks. Guess the weather will be gorgeous  Usually works that way.

"then 4 days of processing more figs"

Oh the irony, it's a absolutely horrible job but someone has to do it.

I'm the one doing it! 🥰🤣 Figs are a real powerhouse. If you read up on them, a tremendous super food. I honestly will eat them everyday and can't say that about a daily vitamin -- don't even have "daily vitamins" in the house.

Consume milk everyday, too. Need to say that about eggs but, can't. Maybe one every couple of weeks :hide and they're laid fresh each day. Many of my friends are happily eating them 😁
