Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Mid 40's at wake-up and supposed to stay in the 40's all day. Rain possible...ugh!

Nasty rain coming next week with the atmospheric river. Already have landslide and flood warnings

Awake at 4am. Gave up on more sleep and rolled out of bed around 5. Coffee doing its job.

Overcast, wet, chilly outside. Turned alarm off & back to sleep. Up, chores done, loading up on coffee.

Yes, Hinotori. We got 1.70" yesterday!! The massive long rain starts Sunday. The local fella on FB, who watches both major models, said we could get 5 - 8" of rain over 4 days. There will be small stream flooding and the rivers will rise a bit. I'm on a hill, but our natural springs will be seeping like mad!!

We get lucky in that much of it makes a hole and goes around us. Really weird because 4 miles away will get the brunt of it. Only half an inch yesterday but town was much heavier.

It's at least half an inch a day for the next many days.

We rain often here, but not normally lots of rain. The forecast said to expect a months worth of rain with this system. Thats 8-9 inches for December on average. Mom isn't comprehending the amount because that's her average annual rainfall.
