We have whitetail here...lots of them. But traveling out west I saw the 10' tall fencing around hay. Thought that was overkill until I saw an elk herd. Big animals. Impressive.

Good morning 4am coffee! Yeah, my nap time for yesterday's snow day has me up!! Gonna screw me up all day today :old 😁. I'll work it out. Snow melted by mid afternoon. Cold temps but sunshine & no winds. Today, warmer in mid 40s. Just a little below Dec norms. At least showing dry for a few days.

Stream is about 60 feet from the edge of the tall grass to left. It's overflowed. About 40 feet into the short grass I mow. Water runs about 200 feet in a low laying area there. Water is about up to my knees by the grass. Made for a pretty picture.

We’re getting Rain, Freezing Rain, Sleet, Wet Snow, Regular Snow, and maybe locust and frogs tomorrow.
.....

they had us down yesterday for rain and snow but the rain didn't happen and also not much snow which was perfectly fine for me as i'd just tired myself out digging out the wet stuff we'd gotten the day and night before.

glad to say that this morning there was no new snow and i went back to sleep for an hour more.

1.30 inches since midnight.
Im so done.

Hubby took the only available route to work. They are open but landslides in the area. Lots of people evacuated by police before dawn just down in Orting. Puyallup river levee is holding. Carbon river on the other side is flooding parts of town. This is why I didn't want to live in the valleys.
