Boo! I feel your pain. Lotsa wind here...day started with 40+mph gusts, has settle down a little bit. Only 20ish gusts now. Cold, but no rain. Kinda not loving it!

Ha! This is the time of year that I spend a bunch of time thinking about moving some place warm!

I am "someplace warm" for most of the year. Just can't figure how to eliminate winter. 
Jan/Feb are our coldest....guess you know tomorrow that begins. This morn is a feel like of 23* so break ice on water day. That's not terrible as it's above freeze daytime. However, that'll change soon, at least for some days.
This is beginning of colder and I hate it!! Cold inside, too. I'm not cranking that heat up so, layer & stay in upper 60s. Usually 66-68 inside. Heated bed is my luxury

17 actual this morning, but going to get into the mid 30's plus. Monday night and tues was rough, 18 but only 30 day, with wind chill in the single digits Mon night, and then 20's Tuesday. We will get a bit of a warming trend, days in the 40's nights in the 20's which is how it should be here. Could be worse... It is winter... hoping this cold kills off some germs and maybe some da%$ ticks....
Some lost their power Monday night but not too many or too long.
We still have lots of dead ash trees coming down so they take out some fences and power lines.
Days are already getting a little longer...
I love my heated mattress pad... turn it on an hour or so before bed, then turn it off when I get in... Room at 60 m/l.... I will not deprive myself of heat in the house... too old to do without, I've worked hard all my life to be cold in the house... Did that when I was younger and didn't have much money... Now, I want to be somewhat comfortable when I am in...

Mom has been cranking the heat up, it is too warm for me at times, i like to adapt to whatever season it is. i don't like to be either cold or hot but i also like to sweat off some of this extra weight when it does get hot enough outside.
as for the cold and killing off some of the bugs out there, yes! for sure!
i was plenty warm enough this morning outside shovelling snow. it was a nice morning as the winds hadn't kicked up.
