Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Yeah, not much fun to mow real wet grass... Went 3 weeks between last mowings and except for some seed heads forming, you couldn't tell where it had been mowed or not.
This will bring the grass on, but we really need a deeper soaking rain here to help the drought situation.
Still, very thankful for the nearly 2 inches in the last week....

Hi FarmerJan, good hearing from you :)

Jesus is Lord and Christ ✝️

We got another .7 inches of rain over Friday/Sat.... brings total to 1.9 inches for a week... It has soaked down into the ground about 6-8 inches, then you hit DRY DIRT... Still it will really help the grasses in the pastures... and get the ground surface in good shape for corn planting.... just hope we get enough rain for it to permeated down more, so the corn doesn't suffer in a couple weeks after sprouting... Looks like we might get more overnight and through Tuesday... sure would like a good soaking 2 inch rain now that the ground is softened and "opened up" .....

Very thankful for what we have gotten lately though...
Thats great!
Our ground is PNW forest/oceanic mix and dries out FAST,
