No snow in Wicklow. Friend just sent me a pic to prove it too lol In Tipperary right now… And it's coming down steadily, though it's sunny.

Absolutely! I was supposed to go down to Waterford today, but I phoned and postponed the appointment this morning. I said "snow" and the hospital said "no problem!" Our roads are a mess and I'm worried we will have trouble travelling back this evening. Best to stay in and warm today.

Ireland have not seen snow like this in 30 years! It's crazy out there, but amazing too.

All it takes is one little kid praying, "Lord, I sure would like to build a snowman!" At the end of long snowy winters, we used to tell our son he could stop praying for more snow... :)

Sumi, I saw a tractor in one of the pictures. Is that the only thing they have to move all that snow?
That was one of our local farmers coming in to the supermarket. They realised it would be much easier to move around on a tractor today, than taking the car! The council came through earlier and scraped the worst off the snow off the road, but it's still piled up in there.

I took this pic about an hour ago:

You can see the part of the road they scraped and the rest of the road up to the car and a delighted DS enjoying the snow lol

We can use some pointers from you all @Miss Lydia! Like how do you walk up steps when you can't see them. I went out into the backyard earlier to put some food out for the birds. I have about a foot of snow out there. Stood and looked around for a bit, taking it all in. This is so strange for me!

The snow seems to have stopped for now and there is talk of rain and flooding. The council workers are out clearing foot paths. Clearing people's doorways. The roads are still very much a mess...

It's so much harder when the area is NOT accustomed to that kind of weather.... Hope this passes for you and that Spring gets going!
