Countdown to Meat Rabbits: A few pics from planning the colony

persoanlly i prefer 2 bucks when starting out...just helps keep the herd from overly in/line breeding. this way you can breed 1 doe to a buck another doe to a different buck and then the daughters can be bred to the alternate buck...giving you a much larger gene pool...especially when breeding for meat youll find you end up wiht alot of line breeding pretty quickly as your herd expands which can cause issues...but if your not planning on expanding the herd quickly or selling breeders then 1 buck is fine :)

i totally agree. in my area i am finding i can never find any animals i want/need when i actually want/need them. so after i "get good" with the trio i will be have perfect reasoning to get another buck, more does, and "get big". or bigger at least :)
