The field season is starting later this year for a number of reasons. One of the big ones is money. With all the budget issues forests don't have money that they need to accomplish what needs to be done. This means less work. The other reason is snow. Lots of snow this winter in many places. We can't in to the places where there is work for us.


I flew through Denver Monday and waved to Abi and -zilla

Now I'm in Klamath Falls, OR. Once again had troubles getting here. A 3 hour layover in San Francisco turned into almost 5 hours. Klamath Falls and I just don't get along when it comes to flying.

I still don't have a schedule I hope to get some idea soon of what I'll be doing.

Will you be there all summer? Klamath Falls area is wonderful. We love driving through there every summer on our way to Portland.

And Colorado is still getting snow LOL. Can't forget that. Not just a heavy winter but Spring is still snowing on us.

Nope, just for a week of training. There is a slight chance of coming back for a project but not likely.

Way too much water around here. I live not too far from the levee that got blown to relieve the Mississippi River. The town I live near has its flood gates. Roads are under water all over the place. Houses are flooded. Towns are being evacuated.

I'm OK, we're over 100 feet above the Ohio River.

I went to the U2 concert in Nashville Saturday. It was fantastic. Facebook friends can see my photos and comments on facebook. I still have the songs playing in my head.

They do put on a darn good show. I saw the Zoo TV tour eons ago. It was awesome

Love U2! I went to the Zooropa tour show, too I wish I had been able to go to the Joshua tree tour- that is still one of my favorite albums of all time.
