Just got home. Went to Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado for work. Took two weeks off and went to Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Colorado to visit friends and relatives. Drove through some other states along the way.

Sorry Wifezilla, while in Colorado visiting my daughter all I did was drink orange juice and nap because I was feeling puny.

Got home to two hens sitting on eggs but one isn't real sure she wants to do it. We'll just wait and see what she does.

Next trip is off to Montana again.

The time off was good but despite trying not to rush and having some extra days built in we still ended up rushing a bit.

Now I'm unpacking and repacking for the next trip.

Good thing I like my job.

The broody hen we weren't real sure about has 11 chicks. It looks like four of the eggs didn't make it but we'll give them another day. The other hen is still sitting.

I have a broody coturnix quail right now. Not sure if she will go the distance. We should know next week. Goofy thing.

Back home from the West for a short while then I head to Ohio for a few weeks.

The aspen and cottonwood trees were starting to turn color in Montana and I notice that the leaves here at home are also starting to turn. Nights have cooled off, yay.

We have 11 little chicks running around with their mothers.

I have been trying to keep up with you all but it has been difficult.

Oh yeah, I lost 15 pounds.

Heading for the Wayne National Forest for three weeks or so. Going to be staying in Athens. Is that near any of you Ohio folks?
