HEY NOW I like that jellied cranberry sauce.

Wait a gosh darn minute, I think we all discussed SECRET RECIPES om here. YOU know those are not allowed.

It's from Betty Crocker.


Fresh cranberries; 1 package or 3 to 4 cups.
1 orange
Sugar; 1 to 2 cups to taste.
Some ginger; fresh, candied, powdered, whatever you have (about 2 tablespoons) to taste.

Grind up the cranberried and orange and then mix everything together. It's better if it sits over night.

Sometimes I put an apple and nuts in it.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Maybe I will like this one. My DH loves fresh cranberries so he will be really happy if I can find a recipe I like too.

You might want to use a small orange or maybe a tangerine. Right now the orange is kinda overpowering the cranberry but that might change as the flavors mingle.

That's just what I grew up having.

It's comforting to eat what I grew up with.

I've never eaten real cranberry sauce

I'm open to making it someday.

I won't shun you for eating canned cranberry sauce. I might question your taste though.

You can come over to my house for canned cranberry sauce Okiemommy. That is my preferred type, LOL. SO THERE DAC...

we had out of the can.
if it doesn't have the ridges, no one will eat it. sad but true. I just cringe at that roll of jelly on the plate..LOL
but they ate it up big time!
