Dacjohns--Changes

Do they shake you as bad as a gas powered weed eater? If so I'll pass. Those things make me shake for hours later..which makes me dizzy...makes me sad cause I used to like to weed eat. Strange, I know.

Every woman needs a chainsaw. She may not need to use it but she sure needs one. Its kind of like the tractor. I know how to start it and with a little thinking I can drive it. But..... I sure don't want to do it often. I just want to be able to if the need should arise.

Within the next few weeks we are going chainsaw shopping.

She also wants and deserves a new computer.

I have enjoyed all the fresh new ideas that popped up today.

Goats

No refrigerator

How long can you last

I hope the weather breaks. I'm a little tired of the ice. It looks like we might a a short break Friday so Friday will be a busy day. I'm off but we a church party in the evening so half of the afternoon will be lost as we finish the decorating and putting the treat bags together. The rest of the day will be either doing some of the little odds and ends that need done or taking Beaker to see some of the sights.

Saturday we are going to my sister-in-law's for dinner (3 hour drive) and hope to do some geocaching along the way. It will be an all day affair.

The local chain saw store is advertising a small Stihl chainsaw for $180. It might be just the saw for my wife.

Woke up to wind and 60 degrees. Little bit mushy outside because of the ice melting and my wonderful clay soil.

Split some wood before breakfast. I really need to build some sort of shelter for the fire wood to keep the snow and rain off it.

The posts of the past couple of days have got me thinking again. I'm pretty prepared for minor disasters or storms but not as prepared as I should or could be.

Just think, we that think about it are not where we should be. What about those that don't think about it?

yes Dacs a few posts have me "thinking" also. Sometimes that is good, other times very bad. :P

but yes, we are more prepared then SO many others. And if we are caught short, I feel very sorry for the masses that don't know the basic survival techniques etc.

Just so basic like hunting. So many would not even consider it.....at least our hubbys and you guys can get food. That is so important. Just basic survival....heck even a Central Park squirrel in NY would be tasty on a spit if you were starving...but do they know how to get that squirrel.....and I would be frightened to learn how they would hunt it..HA HA

They will be knocking on our door.
