Locally, there have been ads on Craigslist for free black walnuts - come pick them & they're yours with a phone number or email address to request the address.

Lat time I looked Craig's List didn't even know the county I'm in exists.

Got home Monday.
Tuesday it rained.
Today, Wednesday, it was dry enough to work outside. After doing work for pay this morning I finally got outside about 2:00 pm. Got the big mostly mowed.
Tomorrow and Friday it's supposed to rain again with a chance for lots of rain.
Monday I head for California, Lassen National Forest.

Stacked some wood and walked around the property looking for dead trees to cut up. Have almost two cords cut, split, and stacked. That's more than we last year at this time.

Got almost 3.5 inches of rain Thursday and Friday. Today the sun is trying to come out but the ground is too wet to use the tractor.

27 female chickens and 1 egg today. Those young girls better start laying. The old girls better get on the ball too.

Yesterday I put fresh straw in all the nest boxes. Today I was gone most of the day so the chickens had to stay in the coop in run. They must have been mad. They kicked all the straw out of the boxes.

How many eggs did you get today, one year later?

Just about all of my chickens are with my niece. I don't even know how many chickens are "mine". I've been away from home all summer with my new job.

At one time though I think we got about 20 one day.
