Dacjohns--Changes

I'm doing work on the Modoc National Forest a little south of Tule Lake, California. Sometime we see Mount Shasta going to and from the project site.

Today is snowy so we called off work for the day. Didn't want to take the chances with freezing roads on the 1.5 hour drive to the project plus the rocks and logs covered with snow make for some hazardous walking.

I hope we will still take Sunday off as I plan on doing some birding in the wildlife refuge if the weather cooperates.

We pass by where Mt Shast should be whenever we drive down to California. Such a gorgeous mountain! But we do notice sometimes that, depending on the weather, it isn't there. We always assumed that maybe the cloudy weather had prompted it to go to the coast for the day, to get out of the clouds, but now I see that it was probably going to your project site

Went birding today and added 15 birds to my lifelist. Probably would have had 20 or more if I would have been serious and had someone else with me.

One of my pet peeves on the chicken forums. They aren't waddles, ducks waddle, chickens have wattles.

Oh by the way, phlox. :hide

Couldn't hold it in any longer.

I agree...just like "there" "their" and "they're".....drives me nuts with the total improper use of words, and misspellings are killing me daily.
