All was well on the farm today. No, animal drama to speak of. DH is wondering if I really want him to call farmer ben. He says that I am doing the animals good and it is making me happy. Boy, he does know me better than I do at times. They do seem better today.

He did say that I do deserve some compensation for the extra expenses I had to dole out. He does want to address that. I guess we will find out tomorrow........

My mission is to make the animals I have happy and healthy. farmer ben sucks......

I will make this into a good experience.

Next step is to get sheep sheared. I talked with the man doing it and informed him that the goats could have CL and he switched me to the last appointment and told me that he has old clothes and shoes he can wear. I filled him in on the whole ben thing and he said he met him a few times and he would never buy animals from him. Yes, he has a farm but he is also a "jockey". He gets animals no one wants and sells them to unsuspecting people like me. He keeps the animals on his farm for a short time so he can say they are from his farm. OOOOooooo that burned by britches.

Live and learn.

At least you can tell everyone of your personal experience with him. Then he can't sue you for defamation of character. You have a vet and everything to back you up. I would certainly be telling everyone I could about my experience with him. Of course just the facts and nothing emotional. ;)

So...didja place a craigs list ad yet? ;)

I'm only joking...sort of. I'm on the fence about stuff like that. I get it and I appreciate the warnings but sometimes people can go overboard really easily and the "ads" that say WARNING....XXX IS A FAKE AND A SCAMMER just turn me off. Maybe if it said something like FOR THOSE WHO VISIT WITH XXX and then in the actual ad tell about your experience in a more decent way. :hu

Today is makeover day. Ewes get hair and nails done today.

Decided that after the ewes lamb they are going to the slaughter house. They are meanest, nastiest, sheep I ever met.....

The goats are doing well. I have decided to take a gypsy approach to their health. I am building their immunity with herbs.

Anyone want a cow dog that is afraid of sheep and goats? What good is he if I am chasing sheep and he is hiding from them???

If the lambs are healthy maybe you can keep some of them to get the flock started.
My whole plan. ;)

I love cattle dogs! They can be odd however. How old is yours?

Sounds good! Keep us updated on how the herbs work! My animals were low in health but not as bad as yours, I'd love to see how well they respond. :)
