Whoot! A day off!! I finally get to work in my gardens. Mow my lawn. Muck my barn. Hey, that all sounds like work.

The sun is shining, that is a bonus.

:frow to everyone.

Today feels like summer. It is about time.

I have been quite busy trying to get my gardens in order for the garden tour. I hope the weather holds so things will start growing. We are still 3 weeks behind with the growing season. It is odd that it has taken till the 2nd weed in June for all the leaves to finally come out. The weather has been so strange.

Other than that I am still on lamb watch. Ol'Thelma is having a rough time. Huge and Hot. Poor ol' girl. Spike's mange has cleared up. He doesn't keep me awake scratching all night. My techno-color dreams have taken that job. I wish I could have a dream free night once and a while. I wake up exhausted.

Well, back outside while it is still nice. T'storms on the way. Of course, I already watered.

Be sure to post garden pics when it is all pretty. I need to weed whack again, but the plants seem to be doing well :fl

Dh and I were driving to the garden center and I noticed a small chicken sticker on the back of the car in front of us. "OOo, chicken." My kids tease me all the time because I point out all the chickens I see in our travels. Actually I point out all animals except cats and dogs. But anyway, Dh laughs and says, "Ooo, lobster". "lobster, what lobster?" "The big red lobster on the back of that car." "Huh???" "On the tire cover, right there." He points to the same car that had the tiny chicken sticker. There is a HUGE red lobster painted on the guys tire cover. :lau How did I see the little chicken and not the giant lobster? Maybe because I hate those sea-roaches. :sick

It is a little harder to keep lobsters in the back yard....:lau

I point out chickens everywhere too, but we very rarely come across them in real life. I mostly see them in magazines etc.

Of all the garden pests I can think of, an invasion of lobsters would be one I would very much welcome.

"Honey! Put a pot of water on the stove and grab the butter!!! The darn lobsters are in the lettuce again. WOOT!!!"

ROFL! I can just see you guys with your cage free lobsters!!!

:yuckyuck

Sign me up for that invasion! :lau

I'd be more than willing to help you get rid of lobster pests. :drool

My hubby will have on the TV. I'll be ignoring it, but certain words will get me out to see what he's watching, those words include (but are not limited to)

Horse, saddles, chickens, gardens, bacon, pigs, etc.

You would be surprized how many of my clients have lobsters in their back yard. I do live on an island. :D
