From everything I have read in your journal, you are living 3 lives on your own.
You have your home and family. Then you have the farm where your tack shed is. Then you have your job.

one, if not two of those portions will have to go.

And that's one reason why the job will be going bye bye.

Ouch! I'm allergic to yellow jackets too, and I've mostly gotten stung by going barefoot. I hope that doesn't get too itchy in the next couple days!

Today was a day when I was sure I was going to get done work on time. After all, my boss had told me that she had stuff to do, so she wouldn't be around to do any of the stuff that needed 2 people. Well, things changed and she was around. Rather than letting me clean stalls first, instead she wanted to work on this other stuff. And, that would have been fine except for one thing-she had a farrier coming at 11:00. He got there early, right around 10:30, right when I was finally able to start on the stalls. And, since it meant I would have had to go around him w/the full muck bucket, instead she had me pulling weeds along the fence line until he was done. I wasn't able to start on the stalls until AFTER 12:00. And, that's when I'm supposed to be done. Instead, I got done at around 1:20. So, I didn't get as much done at the farm as I wanted to. I did get started though, on getting rid of all the weeds behind my tack shed. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to paint the back and get the rest of the weeds out. Then on Friday, I can move the lumber that's there and build the lean-to!

I'd like to have Hubby watch her, just so he could be embarrassed a girl could accomplish so much more than him. Is that a terrible thing to fantasize?

I had a slight change of plans today. When I got done work, I checked my phone to see what time it was and found out that I had missed a call. (I was mowing, and didn't hear the phone ring.) It was my hay guy. He left a message saying that he had some hay he needed to unload ASAP, and would I be interested in it for $2.00/ bale? I called him back and got his wife. She promised to have him call me. My only problem being, I have no place set up right now to store hay. I have one of those small (17'x9'), portable garages. I just need to clean the area up where I'm going to put it. There's a lot of tall weeds right there. So, I started working on that. I wasn't able to get it all done, but should be able to finish it tomorrow.

The hay guy never called back. I even called once to make sure she had told him, and got his answering machine. I left a message, so I'm thinking I probably missed out. But, I figure if I don't get the hay, I should at least get the shelter up. If nothing else, I can store my lumber in it for now, and next week, I can get my lean-to built. Tomorrow, that will be all done.
