Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Yep, I caught up to the group. And, while it was cold out, it wasn't windy, the sky was blue, and all the trees were reflected in the lake. It was a beautiful morning. The highlight of what we saw was probably the cedar waxwings. We haven't seen any for quite some time. There's a dock on the lake that we normally go on to look for water birds. By that time, I was getting a bit chilled, so I broke out my thermos of hot chocolate. Believe me, it really hit the spot! We don't go much farther than that, so it wasn't too long after that that we turned around and went back to the nature center.

We got back just in time. Shortly after that, we started to have people show up for the trim a tree for wildlife. So I got busy cutting up apples and oranges. We had about 15, 20 people show up for that, and several of them seem to be interested in having their kids come to the kids nature club. I hope so. Last year, we had no children, and I really missed doing it.

From there, I had to go to work. I had switched a day w/the girl that cleans the barn on weekends. I had told both her and my boss that I did not have time to do anything but clean stalls. And, since she's now locking the horses in the barn at night, it's taking me a bit longer. I got there and 1st thing I had to do was run the manure spreader. :somad It's not too bad running it if there's a free tractor, but if not, I have to hook it up to the truck. And, that takes longer since I can't see the hitch. I got done and had to run to a couple of stores, then stop at the farm and feed Stormy, my chickens, check for eggs and feed my tack shed kitty, Cindy. Only problem being, I couldn't find Cindy. KN had called up earlier and said she couldn't find her, but sometimes she'll hide in my shed, especially when it's cold out. I wasn't too worried, figured she was in there, just hiding. But, when I got there and opened the door, I got worried. Her food hadn't been touched. The litter box hadn't been used. I checked all over in there, no sign of Cindy. I walked down to the road afraid that she may have wandered out to the road and gotten hit. No sign of her. I went to the house and asked RU if she had seen her. No go. I checked in the barn since she used to live in the hay loft. Nothing. I checked in my trailer since I have a couple of round bales in there. No sign of her. I checked my hay shelter thinking she may have been in there w/the farm cats. I checked under my trailer, RU's trailer, and all the sheds. I couldn't find hide nor hair of her. Believe me, I was praying.

I'm beat. I'm going to take a nap, then finish this later.

Figured I'd add a photo. It's old, and no, the date is not right. I'm about 25 lbs lighter now, and my hair is shorter. I also no longer have Patches, but this is the best photo I have of Misty and me. My camera broke, and while I've gotten a new one, I have yet to sit down and figure out how to use it.

OK, I can't figure out how to post a pic! Photobucket has changed, and I don't have a clue how to use it any longer. :(

If you have the photo on your computer you can just click "uploads" in the blue tool bar at the top of this page. ;)

OK, let's see if I did this correctly.

There you are!

Misty looks quite a bit like my sister's boy Indy. What a pretty flea bitten gray! What breed is she again?

She's an Arab, and a rescue.

Her mane has gotten lighter since that picture was taken.

I imagined you with red hair. Curly.
While my hair isn't real curly, it is curly. You just can't tell when it's longer.

She is gorgeous. I know a dog that reminds me of your picture of Patches, she is a great dog.

You must be pretty slender if you weigh 25 pounds less than that! I got a jolt when I saw your photo, I had your face pictured exactly right and I don't know how.
