I don't plan on soaking them, just gutting them. I've had no luck w/getting more chicks this year. Not one of the eggs I had in the incubator hatched. And, my girls aren't really laying right now. So far this week, I've gotten 3 eggs!

And, I'm wanting to try it again next week, so we'll see if they lay more. I'm also seriously thinking of seeing if I can find a dozen straight run chicks. I need more hens, and I can eat the boys.
In other news, it's all WBFs fault! I was working on weeding the fence line some more. I was making good time, and figured I'd have the one field all done today. Then I noticed it-a broken fence post. It was leaning, but not down. I really wasn't in the mood for doing a fence post, so I figured I'd tell my boss when I was done working so we could do it first thing in the morning. I get down several more posts and realize the top fence board is broken. Plus, just 2 posts down, another fence post is broken. There was just no way I could leave all that.

So, I called my boss and told her. By the time we were done fixing the fence and I was able to leave, it was after 1:00. So, I got back just over an hour of what I lost yesterday. And, the reason it's WBF's fault is because she posted in her journal that I was probably out chasing a horse w/a fence post. Only problem being, that meant that other than feeding animals and bagging feed, I got nothing done at the farm today. I was late getting there, so I couldn't do anything other than feed B4 I went to work. But, at least I don't have to feed the boys anymore, so that helps.
