I'm now sitting back, playing on the puter, cooking brownies, and watching Monk. Feels good.

I play games, mainly on Pogo.net. I do some surfing, but not a whole lot, mainly if I want to look stuff up.Avalon1984 said:

This year I went on the bus. But, since you can go any place in the county to look for birds, I have an idea for next year, providing I can get friends that are interested in doing this and that's doing it on horseback in the one wildlife management area. It's just a couple of miles away from where we left and returned and I'll admit to being tired. A couple of places we did a bunch of walking. I'm not used to walking that much and was really wishing I had Misty w/me. But, if we go in the management area, I won't have to walk, but will get a nice, relaxing ride instead. I'm hoping to do a lot of exploring there soon, so I'd know the best places to go.

But, I did find out where there's another eagle's nest! Plus, we saw an osprey, so that was good.
I got asked a couple of times if I was a teacher. Sometimes people would have a question about some of the trees and they learned quickly that I was the one to ask. I had one person tell me I was really passionate about it. They said my whole face lit up. That made my day. I have GOT to find a way to make money w/this w/out working a 9-5 job for someone else. I know me, and I can't bring the same passion to a regular job as I can out in the field, on my own.
In other news, the nuggets are outside. They are just too big to have in the house, and I feel guilty. They've never spent the night outside B4, and they're not sure what to think. I've always brought them inside at night. I've checked on them a few times and the last time I did, they were all huddled at the door wanting to go in. But, they need to get used to being outside 24/7, and my new coop/run out at the farm isn't quite finished. I had planned on taking them out on a weekend, and spending the night so I could check on them. But, their space was just too small for their size. They made the house stink in just a short period of time. I'm just hoping they'll be outside. They're in part of the old dog pen, which is where I used to have chickens. I haven't had any in there since I lost Henrietta to a predator. But, I'm hoping since they haven't been out, nothing will realize they're in there.

I went out last night B4 I went to bed. And, they were STILL all huddled by the door fast asleep. I couldn't even get the door opened! The big plastic tote I had them in was right near there, so I opened the door just enough to where I could get my hand in and started picking up chicks and putting them in the tote. (Maybe I could invent a new game, instead of Pick Up Sticks, Pick Up Chicks?) Once they were all in the tote, I opened the door and shoved it thru, and closed the door behind me. Then, I took all the chicks out, and turned the tote on it's side, spread the shavings around, and stuck the chicks back in it. In just a couple of minutes, they all settled down in the one corner. I checked on them this morning, and they were fine. I'm hoping at the very least that we get their section of the pen finished today so they can go out to the farm.
Yesterday, DD, DH and I went out after I got home. Having DD there helped me a lot. She decided she didn't want to ride, but wanted to help DH work on the chicken coop and run, so I was able to clean my pasture. Once it was done, I unhooked the cart and mowed my field. I know there's mainly butter cups, but at least now it LOOKS like there's grass in the field. And, it should be easier to clean now. It's hard to scoop the poop if it's in the middle of a clump of tall buttercups. :/ And, I think we'll be able to get it done today, or at least most of it! There's very little that needs to be done to the coop. We got part of the fence up, so we need to finish that. I'll be so glad when it's done. I'm getting tired of working on it.

And, we got more of the pen done today. Would have had more done, but we kept getting interrupted. Why do people have to keep coming over and talking when they can see we're busy? 
We took the Durango to the farm today and have all the tools, wood, etc in it. That's what hubby takes to work normally. And, we would have had to unload it all so he could take it! (He can't have all that stuff in it where he works for security reasons.) Well, he's decided to take my truck tomorrow instead and if he's feeling OK, he'll call me up and have me meet him at the farm so we can work on it more. We NEED to get it done. Then we could work on an outside brooder on Saturday so I could be all ready for when my eggs hatch.
