I could really use more days like today. I got quite a bit done, but at the same time, feel relaxed.
To start with, I had to make a fire this morning. It was colder than I was expecting (42!), so the house felt cold. I was worried about the nuggets, but they were fine. I wasn't really hungry, so other than an onion ring and a cup of coffee, I didn't have breakfast. Got a load of clothes out on the line, and a couple more folded and put away.
I also worked in the garden a bit. I'm going over it just to get out anything that's popped up lately, then later this week, will be getting the rest of the fence up and getting stuff planted! I did about 1/4 of it today, and it didn't really take me that long.
Got to the farm, and got the horses fed. Then, I checked the chickens and cleaned the field. And, w/the buttercups mowed, it was much easier.
Once that was all done, I started a fire and worked on buttercups in my "yard". That meant I was close to the fire, but still getting stuff done. Once I had the fire going the way I wanted it, I wrapped a potato in foil, and threw it on. Let that cook for awhile while I continued to work on buttercups, then put a steak over the fire. When they were both done, I sat back and ate a yummy lunch of salad, steak, baked potato and a brownie.
Hubby and I got the pallets out of my horse trailer yesterday and put them down for my deck. I didn't want the metal tool box I store my bagged feed on the pallets. So, since they're a little shorter than my shed, I have it sticking out at a right angle. But, it's a bit to low, so I took everything out of it, swept it out and dumped it, got some broken fence posts and stuck them under it. Everything is now back in, though I do need to bag feed.
I'm now sitting here relaxing w/a cat on my lap. Hubby is supposed to stop on his way home from work so we can work a bit more on the coop and run. There's no one here, so maybe we can get it done. I still have a bit more to do today, but not much and I feel relaxed. Wish everyday was similar to today. :/
