Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Didn't have any more storms last night, but we lost our cable and internet last evening! :barnie

I put the windows in my tack shed last night and had no storms. The chicks survived being out all night, so even though I don't have that area set like I wanted it, I won't have them both in there for long. The nuggets will be ready to be integrated in w/the main flock in less than 2 weeks.
 
My laptop keeps shutting itself off. Darn old thing :rant Glad you got everything back quickly, and glad there were no more storms!
 
Not much going on. It's too hot to really do much. Saturday's supposed to be the worst day of the summer to date. They're calling for a high of around 100. :th
 
Some of you know that I had applied for a summer job at the nature center. A couple of weeks ago, I called and was told that they'd be filling the position by last Friday. Friday came and went and I heard nothing, so I figured I didn't get the job.

Got a call today. The nature center really had no say over who got the position. But, the county kept calling them w/names and numbers of others that had applied only to call them and find out they were no longer interested. And, they got tired of this. So, the woman that works in the office there finally told the main office that they knew someone who had applied for the job and was still interested. The job starts Monday. Would they like for her to call the person? They said yes, so I got a call this morning telling me I have the job! I have to go for orientation tomorrow morning! So, I don't know how much I'll be on during the summer, but at least I should have a few extra bucks by the end of the summer!

I wonder if they were going thru the names alphabetically. My last name begins w/a Z! :lol:
